Trinity County is in far Northern California
between Humboldt County and Shasta County. It is intersected by
Hwy. 299W, a major thoroughfare that connects the coast to the
central valley. It is in a mountainous region. In fact, one of our
famous features is the Trinity Alps. One peak rises to an astounding
9000-foot elevation and is as pretty as any picture you could
imagine. We have 3,222 square miles with a population of slightly
more than 13,000 people. The majority of the acreage, about 80%, is
public land. In addition, if you are sports minded and love the
outdoors you will love it here. The Trinity Alps' Wilderness
encompasses 500,000 acres alone.
Land costs, commercial or residential, are
reasonable; cost of living is lower; electric rates are lower; a
business license isn't required; lower crime rate than many other
areas; it is an excellent place to raise children; and, most of all,
the people are friendly.
